I’m not the same
Just broken
Like a scream
Cracking
Cracking
Cracking
Mauled by thoughts of you
Your hand driving a knife into me
And I scream again
Breaking over and over again
Bloody knees
Bruised shoulders
Scarred faces
All because of you
Battered hands writing as they shake
Scribbling the last bit of life
Away into the night
All because
We can’t remember anymore
So we move on
But I still stare at the wall where you used to be
Standing ahead of me just out of reach
I hurt beyond comprehension
Missing more then I bleed
Wishing for someone to fill these holes
My soul flooding out of me daily
Going away to never return
Just like you did to me
As if I’m escaping myself to get closer to you
Can’t bare myself
Can’t see myself anymore
Just a puff of smoke of where I once was
Changing trying to survive
Hoping each day I’m alive
Is another day closer to you
Distance to far
But time something I can overcome
Eventually
I hope at least
Because its all I really have
